Apologies I stand corrected. Maybe he was a bit under the weather, Greavsie said in the depths of his addiction there were grounds he’d played at where he had little or no memory of the actual game, these stories tend to get embellished over the years.

There's nothing clever about "speaking his mind" and then threatening to never speak to them again. It was embarrassing shite. Read the transcript. It blew up because on his first day as manager, he gave the players a day off (which is what he did) and all the journalists printed it. .

Massive respect? There's nothing clever about losing your temper unreasonably in the first week of the job.
