Maybe now is the time for Capello to re-discover Joe Cole. Get rid of Lennon and SWP as neither have been successful, either in getting past defenders round the outside nor in delivering decent balls into the box (I think Lennon gave one decent cross just before he was subbed although it still didn't reach an England player).

I would play Crouch and Rooney and have Cole on the right with licence to switch to the left. Dawson in for Carragher and leave the rest as it is. The team hasn't clicked yet but wholesale changes aren't the answer.

I have been a supporter of Heskey because it has worked with Rooney but he has been an abject failure so far and we need to try something different. Had Walcott been there then I would have played him ahead of Cole but alas he didn't get on the plane.

Capello did a U-turn over Beckham when he was at Real madrid, so lets hope he has the balls to see the error of his ways, and bring in Cole.

At the start of this world cup I really thought Joe Cole would emerge as Englands hero and maybe he still will. But Capello has really dropped a bollock not picking him from the start. If he picks him now and it all turns around it wont be a materstoke by Fabio but one where he ran out of options. Either way it makes Capello look incompetent, but who will care if it works.
