Pretty sure you can just cut and paste. But it is, at least, a tiny bit fiddly

Yes press the ‘share’ icon

Then ‘paste’ into notes - copy link into your new post

It will link you directly to the post you want to reference -

Eg in this instance another thread where you referenced an old thread and posted the same thing - you are spending far too long late at night musing about assassinating Trump - if anything happens to Trump, this could be held in evidence against you

Of course, you could just use the quote function - it will store any quote until you insert them into a post (or remove the quote from the quote menu) - go to the post you want to quote, quote yourself then insert quote into a post on the current thread.
