How do you know? I know a Carlisle supporter at works and she says he was really good for them last season. Who had heard of Bobby Zamora when he signed for us?

He's been on loan to two other Div One clubs (Carlisle and Crewe) as well as Bury and Hereford and he hasn't played a game for Preston. He's only played 24 league games since 2004. He's only signed for a month. None of those things are exactly what we were hoping for.

You can judge him on those stats but I will give him a chance. I would take the word of someone who has seen him play before over statistics.

How soon is now?
I was under the impression that this loan window only allowed teams to sign players for a month at a time, max 3 months. So even if he were available until the end of the season we'd have to wait until Jan to do longer term business anyway - or perhaps i'm wrong??

You could be right. And I'm not judging him. It's just that bigger names have been bandied about for a long time and I had let my hopes get up.

You are right of course and he may be a revelation but we need a creative central midfielder badly and this guy seems to be winger/ striker.... all my attention is on the answer to our critical centre midfield problem.

I agree with the creative central midfielder but Cox has been pretty average so far this season so it is good to have competition for him. Hopefully he will not be the last loan signing this month.

The fact that he has not played for Preston hopefully means we may get him for the season/permanently if he does well.

He IS Flair.

Bill Cosby even modelled the Cosby Kid Bucky after him.

Think he'll be on the bench Saturday as a direct replacement for Jakey, giving us options on the wing or upfront.

I thought the same thing. Then again, bearing in mind he's hardly a physical presence (!); & his playmaking skills seem to have buggered off...
I don't think Cox's size is too much of a problem as he is willing to get stuck in, and if you want a bit more presence then Virgo certainly has that and Livermore is not small either. I think Cox's main problem this season so far has been his lack of confidence in taking players on, in the centre that wouldn't be so much of a problem and he can pass the ball.

Whatever happened to Priestfield hero, Andy Ansah? :clap2:

I read somewhere he is a football choriographer for films and TV. I knew he got involved with Dreamteam on sky and then I read somewher with the GOAL films, never saw them, there were meant to be three.

Still another Mickey type signing, hope he is a diamond like many others before, team needs some energy perhaps Joe is the man to deliver service to our promising strike partnerhip.

Good Luck to him.
