He was class. Could have bagged a couple, but had genuine international standard centre backs struggling. They were gasping for air and resorted to tugging his shirt when clean through.
I am not normally sold on a player after just one game, but I would definitely pull out all stops to sign him. Trouble is, his stock probably rose after tonight!
Absolutley quality performance. Came on and imediately tracked back and made tackles. When moved up front he gave us something we have been missing for ages pace AND strength.
Moments befor he scored i commented to someone sitting near me that i didn't know if he was any good and so couldn't be bothered to learn his name and would be calling him by a former similar sounding player.
With this in mind i would like to say well played ANDY ANSAH certainly your best performance in the Blue and White!
He looked very good tonight but dont lets get carried away about signing him as his performance at Yeovil was OK but not so inspiring as tonight but then nobody played as well at Yeovil as they did tonight so lets keep our feet on the ground and use this match to kick start our season.
I knew he looked good when he played at Yeovil. He showed some nice touches and has a great turn of pace. He completely changed the game last night. City struggled to deal with him, and boy oh boy did he work his arse off!! Sign him up!!
At one point, he was in midfield, tackling his arse off. Then Man City played it into the penalty area - and he was there again, working as hard as anyone to win the ball back. I couldn't believe it was the same bloke - blimey, what a performance. They were all extraordinary last night but we wouldn't have won it without that barnstorming performance.
superb peformance. how much chance have we of signing him though? Have preston got quite a large squad in wingers/attackers? I would love to see him permanent
Somebody last night was saying that the Preston fans couldn't work out why he was sent out on loan - unless the manager doesn't fancy him. I thought he made the difference. If he'd got into the box and gone down when he was tugged back by Dunne then we'd have been 3 - 1 up. Presuming we'd have got and scored the resulting penalty
I think you have to give Dean Cox some credit for his impact as a substitute. He was involved in both goals (at least I think so, the tequilla is still stinging) and set Ananyyssshssajhahsah free for his one on one with a delightfully waited through ball. Well done Deano. Don't let the doubters get you down.
