Who do you reckon would have won?

Jocky Wilson, darts player, soul singer, all-round good guy

or the man's man's man, Oliver Reed.

And was there anyone else, any other proper drinker, who could have held their own against these kings amongst men*?

*apart from Pete Canning of course.

Ollie had stamina - he could drink for days at a time.

Pound for pound Peter O'Toole would have troubled them but I'm going for Bill Werbeniuk

I drank with Reed on quite a few occasions. I was at the time a young but still chronic alcoholic. I was probably at my drinking peak in terms of capacity in those days and Ollie made me look like an amateur. Days and nights on end he could go. Absolutely charming up until the point he turned on someone then he was viscous.

I'd back him against any drinker I've ever met and I've met a few.

Andre The Giant would put them both to shame.

But for this battle, the little Scot would almost certainly have won.
Darts players drink ALL day and night.

Big Cliff Lazarenko would have beaten them both too.
