It’s also as much about the developing understanding between the forward players - in the lead up to both goals it’s looks as though they have some kind of ESP. Rapid, one-touch passing and fast movement yet they find each other’s feet. Joao alluded to it in his post-match interview
I imagine it's a combination of ESP and relentless practice, until it's second nature to them. I'm sure they love it.

Sorry but like Roy Keane I hate this ‘no9’ etc phrasing that’s keeps in. What do you mean by a 9 and a 10? Is 9 off the striker and 10 the striker?
Talking about number 9s (centre forwards) and 10s (support/second striker or attacking centre mid) has been around for decades.

Very surprised you don’t know or haven’t heard this.

No exaggeration here.

His first goal demonstrated outstanding No.9 abilities. We’ve seen supreme 6 yard sniffer qualities with players like Murray and Undav during our Premier League journey.

But it’s his assist that blew my mind yesterday. Perhaps he could play No.10 for Brazil too?

This is from the NSC FB page, I can’t find the image on NSC but it’s probably somewhere…

The genius of this is profound.

NO ONE IS LOOKING AT MITOMA!!!

Why?

Look at Pedro’s eyes.

Pedro is looking at Welbz, possibly checking out the intelligent run by Estupiñán. Every plucky player is absolutely DONE by this. They are all ready to press Pedro or intercept a pass to Welbz or Estupiñán, especially Smith (No.15) who has no idea what sneaky Kaoru is up to! The Bournemouth players clear a path for Pedro to thread a perfectly weighted pass to his team mate.

That is how an elite world class No.10 plays.

It looks even better from behind the goal. JP gives everyone the eyes with that glance to his left, the number 15 thinks he has read the pass and moves to his right and JP plays it through the gap he has vacated.

He only looks world class when what he does is breathtakingly brilliant.

The rest of the time he's merely very, very good.
