Sometimes I think the club need to have a word with RDZ. In his post-match comments he seemed to say that 70 percent of Joao Pedro's best was good enough for us but that he would need to do better at a bigger club. And he keeps hinting that our players are on their way. That's not just down to poor translating.

So 4 in open play in epl in half a season. Hardly great.

I suspect we would not entertain anything under 90m this early in his contract so I would be shocked if anyone came close to this number in the summer unless he gets up to at least 15 goals in open play.

We will get at least one more season out of him after this I reckon.

I can't see anyone stumping up anywhere near the fee we would be asking for him either.

Yep - we're about as far up the food chain as we possibly can be really. We're obviously not and will never be an elite club, so at the moment we're the perfect club to be at as a young player aiming to achieve elite level

He can be an excellent 5th-9th in PL type player like this or if he keeps improving he can be a Champions League final 8 type of player some day. (Not finished article for that level yet but showing that he could be if he wants to someday).

Was incredible (again) last night but RDZ’s point is fair. He can be an excellent 5th-9th in PL type player like this or if he keeps improving he can be a Champions League final 8 type of player some day. (Not finished article for that level yet but showing that he could be if he wants to someday).

Solly March was apparently a ‘football genius’ when RDZ joined the club, this rubbed off on the player and we were given his best form ever.

Meanwhile, there was no space in the team for Gilmour (with Mac & Caicedo) and he was leaving training in tears after yet another bollocking from the gaffer. A year or so later, Gilmour delivers one of the best ever midfield performances in a Brighton shirt in one of our biggest games ever (Marseilles).
