Jim McNulty was in the quick check out queue at M&S in Haywards Heath just now. The till lady had obviously recognised him and was chatting about where he would be playing this season.

When she asked him if he preferred living in the south or did he want to go back up north, he replied by saying he likes it down here but there are some politics going on which means he will probably go back up north.

Wonder what sort of politics he means ?

Shame to see him go imo...good player and a decent bloke to boot.

Didn't see him play too much, but remember him having a quality game against Aston Villa, hope he doesn't go though. Seems weird we struggle for a decent left back for so long and now we have two goodens.

He won't get in the side and therefore maybe we're trying to make a few quid by getting rid of him ? Good player but if we can get 100k + for a backup it would be pretty good business.

The check-out girl who I went to at Waitrose at lunchtime, is GORGEOUS. I think I am a tiny bit in love with her.

That is all. Carry on.

its no coincidence that Poyet talked really strongly about the teamwork ethic and players fighting for their places and the fact that everyone who asked to go out on loan is leaving one after the other. I fully expect McNulty and Tunnicliffe to leave which will be a shame but In Gus We Trust.

I bet nobody will be knocking on his office door asking for a loan move this season

Does anyone actually buy anything other than Percy Pigs or Percy Pigs and Friends in M&S?

And quite rightly too, at the end of the season to ask to move out on loan smacks of throwing toys out of the pram and I don't think Gus will tolerate it.

The politics are probably something to do with Tony Bloom telling Gus that he has a figure to work with this season and his squad has to fit that number. Mac and Tunni aren't Gus's boys, they are saleable assets - so they're a good way to balance the books.
