Yeah right. SH believed in rotation for rotation's sake but CH very clearly picks the appropriate team for the matches on form. It's no surprise to me that we've been much more consistent in his tenure as a result.

JFC's simply not up to it at this level yet. Lightweight, hesitant, instinctively conservative with his passing, zero presence, and a passenger we could ill afford given our position this season. Central midfield is the engine room where you need a player who is capable of stamping his authority on a game. JFC simply looked out of his depth. Look at the difference in performances and results since him and Gardner were binned off to get a proper midfield together. Now we have Kayal and Ince, and with Stephens coming back, we're a completely different proposition and far more competitive. I tell you now, if JFC/Gardener had continued as our midfield hub for much longer, we would be in serious shit right now.

I'm not totally writing JFC off. But he has got a long, long way to go before he can be considered a Championship midfielder IMO.

JFC is a fantastic prospect, but his confidence has been hammered and it's no wonder. The pressure he must have felt playing under Hyypia must have been immense.

He must have known how badly he'd played in some matches, but still he was the club's poster boy being selected week in, week out all whilst having his face plastered over every piece of marketing material the club could put out.

FFS how old is the kid?
If he had never made the first team or just come off of the bench a few times and mainly playing in the development squad (like most players his age) people would be clamouring for him to be in the first 11 like they do with Monokana.
Can't people just accept JFC for what he is: A young prospect who has been asked to do a job, due to injuries and some suspect player acquisition, that should not be asked of for a player of his age and experience.

Personally I think people should stop the agenda to ruin a young and just let him develop in peace and cut him some slack. That actually goes for a lot of our players recently. It is getting to be quite embarrassing really.

Absolutely, as you say the self same people having a pop would have been banging a drum for him to be included if he was on the peripheries of the squad, sometimes you can have your best spells when not in the side, a couple of defeats and everyone will be scurrying around trying to claim that 'such and such' is the answer and CH is clueless.

This perfectly sums it up. Best thing for JFC would be a loan out to a midtable League One side for a while, get some game time under his belt in a lower pressure situation.

Completely agree with you. I know he is young but I thought he was terrible this season. I dont know why he was continually picked. I bought Fifa 15 just so I could sell him!
