Very happy with this signing, hopefully it can be what we need. He would be able to supply Ulloa a bit more, hopefully grab some goals himself and can play as a striker if needed - 3 in 1.

Great transfer coup by Brighton. Lingard is really highly regarded at Manchester United and scored goals in pre-season for them before going out for his loan spell at Birmingham. I think they are wanting to be careful not rush him into first team action too soon there which is there is often the temptation to do when you are struggling for results. Would think he would play as a #10 at Brighton, operating just off Leonardo Ulloa.

I hope you're right, Leo is often frustrated by the lack of support he gets. Ideally, Lingard will be down the middlethere for Leo flick-ons etc.

But we did need a striker. Apparently DB and OG agree, and now we've FINALLY signed one. It appears the whingers were correct!

Something tells me you're not excited by this Under 21 capped English striker who's currently top scorer for United's U21s and who scored 4 goals on his debut for Birmingham earlier this season.

I've given up being excited as they've all been disappointing apart from Conway so I don't expect nothing different this time round but hope I'm proved wrong.
