A shame, he really looked like he would be the best of the South American midfielders when he arrived but he’s been left badly behind by Enciso and increasingly Buonanotte too
He's not really South American - he was born and raised in Spain until he moved to London aged 7. He's a proper cor blimey geezer cockerney alright.

On the bench again tonight. My mate who follows Ipswich home and away is, it’s fair to say, not a fan of JS so far.

We get the odd flash from him but he doesn’t seem to be making the big impression on the Championship I thought he would.
I haven't been back to look for a week or two, but that's not the impression I got from their fans forum when I last looked.

Very one footed at times, predictable, and not an electric burst of pace that complements his trickery.

Good player, but not great.

That said, hope he stays, adds squad depth, and good from the bench against tiring players. Not a starter for me though.

Still think this kid is quality. He can make it with us.

Not sure he will make it - we have younger players who look to have surpassed him. At 21-22 and given his injuries so far he needs to be playing regularly

Ipswich 3-2 Bristol City

Very entertaining game this evening watching JS help Ipswich win a match having been 0-1 and 1-2 down and then missing a penalty to go 3-2 in the last 5 minutes. JS looked quality again but should have tapped in injury time.

Very exciting last 10 mins. JS probably should have scored but got an assist for the winner.

I saw a lad with a West Brom shirt in the gym yesterday. Sarmiento on the back.
Why would you do that ? Made me smile

He's getting some football with Ipswich - off the bench - and has looked lively, but has still , out of 10 games , only started 3 times.
He actually played more - in those last dozen games for WBA.

On the other hand, Ipswich fans are generally really pleased with him and would like to see him starting matches. West Brom. fans thought he was lightweight and sh*t.
