I see this as more of a failing on the BBC's part than anything else - surely they have a list of banned songs that must never be played? Neither this chap or Clarkson should have been sacked.
The regional DJ who played the Sun Has Got His Hat On and subsequently chose to step down or be sacked was actually offered his job back but declined citing that "The whole incident has exacerbated a stress related condition I suffer from". Possibly holding out for some stress related compo?
There's not a long history of subjugation and abuse behind the word "honky" though is there?I wouldn't be upset at being called a "honky".
