Saw him play in Birmingham with Jonny Depp last year. Truly brilliant. RIP Jeff.

Saw him at The Dome, and at The Royal Albert Hall. I think Ronnie Wood joined him on stage that evening. Wasn't that keen on Beck's choice of material - a bit too jazzy for me. However, rather than regurgitate the same riff for the past 60 years, he chose to endlessly push the boundaries. There were no limits. Have I ever seen a better guitarist ? Difficult to say. Possibly only Harvey Mandel, and that was back in the old Canned Heat days.

For once the phrase ".....giant among rock guitar legends...." seems very inadequate.

I regret that I know little of his output apart from the one song that probably gave him a firm financial foundation. A friend was a huge fan of his "Wired" album and I must educate myself on his catalogue

I saw him once, not on stage but loading his Waitrose shopping into his car. I vaguely recognised his face but the show room condition and colourful "muscle car" he was driving gave it away!

The best guitarist I've seen in person.
RIP.
My two claims to ‘fame’ with regard to Jeff Beck - firstly, I saw him at the Dome when he was in the Beck, Bogert and Appice band. Secondly, a friend of mine was best mates, and a neighbour, of Jeff. We visited Jeff’s house (he wasn’t in, unfortunately) and I had the dubious pleasure of picking up one of his guitars and having a little strum.

R.I.P. Jeff - you were a damn good guitarist.
