As a parent it must be a nightmare when any child goes missing, whatever their age, but the more information that comes out it really is a strange one.

He doesn’t strike me as your normal ‘Teen Brit‘ on holiday in the Canaries, going to the remote Air B and B with these two as yet unidentified males, and the gofundme page to raise £30,000 almost has a whiff of Shannon Matthews about it.

Obviously I hope there is a happy ending to the whole saga, but I’m not sure we’ve been told the whole story yet.

Yeah - It's all a bit strange - Clearly something of a wrong 'un but still awful for his family....

Too soon.

Seriously.
Disagree. The background story to this is that he isn't the sweet and innocent young lad the media have so far portrayed. The go fund me page is raising money with no explanation given as to what that money will be spent on! On one side the family claim the Police aren't doing enough and on the other the Police are releasing footage of what they are doing. The family have even complained that the Spanish Police 'don't even talk English'! WTF.

I get the impression the family of the 'apprentice bricklayer' are thick chavs on the make, but there is every chance the boy is dead, so speculation about the meaning of the carry-on of the chav family and friends seems a bit like a real-life antichrist version of Love Island to me. Who will find the corpse first, and will they win a prize?

No shit!

Probably needs another thread of speculation to send even more people down a few rabbit holes

I've come back home.
This is the same online nonsense from people who think they're smart as was seen with Nicola Bulley.

Obliquely suggesting "something doesn't seem right" or person X seems dodgy, when you have zero experience, or knowledge doesn't make you look smart. It makes you look like an online conspiracy moron. And if the cap fits...

Part of the reason it’s snowballed so much on Twitter is because people have found out about his less than savoury past and now don’t give a shit about taking the piss out of the situation.

I read the suggestion that he might be stuck to a cactus and genuinely couldn’t tell if it was satire or a Facebook Mum thinking she had a good idea.

Has this lad been bad then, I have not heard that on the news?

It was up there with the idea that Cristiano Ronaldo would donate a few million of his personal fortune to pay for a special search squad.

Nothing to discuss. All we know is that he is missing. Everything else is blind discussion based on internet chat- which is as reliable as transfer rumours. Yet folk still regard those as fact.

Wasn’t there a suggestion that chocolate bars should be left around the island in case he’s lost and hungry? That has to be satire doesn’t it, no one can be that stupid can they?
