Absolutely and often ignored when names are bandied around. A older player on his way down the pyramid is as big a risk as a younger one trying to claw his way up. I'm very glad we've not signed him

No win for Sheff Weds. If he is looking to impress Hughes or other PL clubs of his worth then he may well bang them in (up until Jan), but then he will either be gone (and Sheff Weds are back to square 1 getting another striker) or Sheff Weds will have to pay an increased fee for him.

I think his tweet about "no chance" was directed at playing in the championhsip as opposed to Brighton. It said it all.

last week he responded to two tweets within the same hour.

one to a Wednesday fan said "just rumours"
one to an Albion fan said "no chance"

i can't help but think this should have alerted us just a little?

It alerted me. I pointed it out last night and got slated. Bothroyd will not be our player. Bunny's wrong.

i pointed this out to Andy Naylor in a tweet saying
"[MENTION=14853]andy[/MENTION]NaylorArgus and Bothroyd's reaction to #bhafc link last week via Twitter was "no chance". Either unlikely or awkward."

His response:
"The key phrase there Peter is "last week". Things can change rapidly approaching deadline, for clubs and players."

Couldn't help but think nobody was taking the significance of a player seemingly being so disrespectful in public.

He looks likely to sign for those northern monkeys. No news or sightings at the Amex. Not hopeful at all.
