Good player, bad signing. At the figures mentioned we'd been out anyway. £16m and more importantly £140k a week for a player that'll have no resell value in a couple of years is bad business. Blows our wage budget out of the water and if we were relegated or he lost form, yard of pace etc. We'd have been stuck with him. Exactly the sort of signing that gets you into trouble. On a sporting basis though, how does not improve the team, a brilliant natural finisher....
