Yes the number 10 comment showed a lack of knowledge

It would be great if people tried reading what I actually wrote -

I said Knight's best position is probably no.10 - not that he only, or even normally, plays in that position. He can play anywhere in midfield and is really good at it.

He did. You said:
"His best position is probably as a no. 10 and it is possible that the club see him as a replacement for Bissouma"
As a no.10, clearly he is not.

No you didn't. All you said was:
"His best position is probably as a no. 10 and it is possible that the club see him as a replacement for Bissouma"
................... and now you're just back-tracking by adding on the extra bits you didn't say.

Heard Mel Morris waxing lyrical about him earlier, sounds like an absolute class act, the boy has it all. He's going to be a superstar.

He said "his best position is probably as a 10", which implies that it is not the only position that he plays, he didn't need to say it explicitly, then again, perhaps he did.

Well this is Ireland Manager, Stephen Kenny has to say about Knight et al, being a No.10:

“We probably haven’t had a traditional number 10 in the squad. We had Jack Byrne, but Jack likes to come right back into midfield and make passes. In terms of playing a number 10, the other midfield players like Alan Browne, Jeff Hendrick, Jayson Molumby or Jason Knight are traditional attacking midfield players, they’re not natural number 10s as such.”

I don't have an opinion, never seen him, I was just commenting on the language used in an others post and if it was sufficient to convey the intended message.

For the record, he's not a 'number 10', never.

I'll save JRG a bit of time ......

JRG : " I never said he was a number 10 or that he'd even played as a number 10 but if he DID play as a number 10, it would be his best position, probably."

Strange chain of posts.

Someone asks JRG for his advice. He gives it and then everyone tries to pull his advice to bits.

He is a young lad. He possibly hasn't even discovered his best position because that can vary depending upon the personnel playing along side you

Exciting player but struggle to see another midfielder arriving before at least two leaves, there are simply too many in the squad.

I had the impression he was a bit older than you suggest. Gnarled veteran of 1980s trade unionism/Militant Tendency. I would suggest his best position is advocate for CH. Does a pretty good job there.

These aren't the players you're looking for.

Izquierdo, Propper and Bissouma all look likely to be on their way.

Lalanna probably has one more season before he moves into a coaching role.

Now is the time for succession planning and backfill at least one of those positions.

But if his best position is number 10, then he is NOT a Biss replacement. You need to think before you post your ‘expert insights’

But the point is he said number 10 is his best position then linked him to Biss, which demonstrates lack of knowledge. Did I need to spell that out for you too?

If you are assuming that Wayne Rooney would be stupid enough to agree to that.

It might just work.
