Japanese knotweed

Had it in my garden several years ago. Took two years to clear but used roundup but make sure you get the one that specialises in clearing knotweed. It gets into the root system and kills the roots off. Have not seen hide nor hair of it since.

That's amazing. Haven't got any Japanese Knotweed (fingers crossed - I hope not anyway!) - but I do have a garden which is a living proof that Roundup kills f*** all.

Not read all the thread but it is almost impossible not to know you have knotweed and if you didn't know someone would soon tell you.
Also if you had a proper full survey and he bothered to get out of his car, he would have noticed it too.

My company does train surveyors, some of them are surprisingly ignorant of it I think.

MIND YOUR RASPBERRIES! This stuff kills everything except grass.

Thanks but we ditched the allotment and moved them bare root in the winter to our garden and that is convolvolus free!!
