Japanese Grand Prix - Hamilton choking?

Having pushed so hard he crashed out in the last two Grand Prix he has now written his car off in 1st practice and will have to make do with tomorrow's practice to get to know the track with the current car.

Lewis needs to stop pushing so hard and concentrate on finishing a race and taking chances that may come his way rather than just trying to barge his way through and win the race at the 1st corner. Crashing in practice is not such a big deal but he is crashing way too much for a World Champion imo.

He's not very good at biding his time it seems, and is not quite the all round great driver it appeared he may be when he started out. Shame, I am gutted to see Alonso and Vettell getting away from him

Lewis seems to be the only one of the 'top five' willing to overtake and race, yet he seems to be getting punished for this. I just hope he holds it together on Saturday and Sunday.

No offence but that is absolute rubbish, the spectacular Vettell/Webber crash as Vettel tried to get past Webber that so benefited Lewis? Vettell, a few Grand Prix ago, had three coming togethers in one race. Alonso hasn't had to overtake because he's led from the front but is more than happy to overtake. Webber came from the back of the grid a few races ago.

Lewis has been a bit unlucky in that both coming togethers have resulted in him going out and the other car being able to carry on BUT he forced the issue in both instances. I love watching Lewis race but he needs to show more patience and chances will open up in less suicidal positions.

Don't be a twat, I have never celebrated him going out but I'm mature enough to accept it when he fucks up. Toddle off and find a post where I've celebrated him crashing out.

I think the MacLaren car is not as good as the Ferrari or Red Bull and Lewis is pushing himself and the car over their limits.

If Lewis isn't careful Button will finish ahead of him in the Championship and then have a case for being No. 1 driver in the team.

Lewis messed up by driving into Massa, but was the victim when Webber chose not to avoid what was an unavoidable collision last time out. Those two non finishes have almost put him out of the title race so he is under pressure to get a good result in Japan. He's not a choker, he's just pushing hard.

Sorry I meant that say that it was avoidable. Webber just kept his foot in too long. If he'd wanted to make the appex of the corner he could've done.

No, I don't think it was avoidable in any practical sense. Hamilton was half a length up, but Webber was never going to be able to back off. Just a driving accident, no-ones fault really, IMO. Webber was lucky to be able to continue.

Yeah totally choking. Against all the odds the real world champion has just stuck it on third. Thread started = idiot.

You've proved yourself time and again to be incapable of rational discussion, so why not spare us your ridiculous and child like bias and just stop posting on this thread eh?
