Not sure they are called differently at all? 'comfortably volleys home' doesn't necessarily mean volleys home without controlling it / teeing it up first :shrug:

"... who controls it and knocks it past..." - that sounds like two actions, no?

Obviously now we've seen the video, it's clearly a volley. One motion only, so the report you were reading was probably written by an American!

It's a fair observation though, he does seem to take up a very aggresive position generally. At Leicester it made his feeble attempt to save the second goal look worse because he's not able to get there due to his height. Presumably, he's trying to cure his lack of height with being on the front foot. A bit like Loris at Tottenham, but not as good.

Watched the replay a few times. If he had an extra inch of reach he would have tipped it over.
