I suspect opposition defences will be a step up in the PL, but I really like the speed of our attacks under FH. I do believe that a quick attack where the defence hasn’t had time to organize themselves is what gives an attacking player the best chance of finding/making a gap.

Nice that we now sometimes cross the ball into the box rather than turning back and recycling it out to the opposite wing, rinse and repeat.

Interesting to see young players returning from unsuccessful loans in the Championship and League1 coming in and playing quite well. Looks like Hurzeler really means to have a midfielder playing at CB - has Weir ever played CB before in his life?
We haver a lot of very talented, technically gifted footballers but its a lot different in a competitive and more physical PL or Championship. Whilst I would not sing his praise as such you just have to see what Dyche achieves with less talented players but who play physically and competitively. Yes low in the table BUT two teams that have survived We need a mix of both and there are some signs we might have both. Sarmiento seems to have muscled up and added a bit of aggression into his play which will do him the world of good.

Apart from Lamptey, Barco, Estupinan, Offiah and Samuels, plus several others who can and have played at FB, like Veltman, Igor, Hinsh?

No, we don't.
The difference appears to be that Fab doesn’t want to play them in defensive roles

Generally agree with what you say - but wasn't aware that I was particularly singing anybody's praise! Whose praise was I singing? - I'd like to know!

Typical Dych signing that center half from Lyon. 6ft6. We know he loves set pieces. We cannot afford to defend anywhere near that level against a Dych side.

Exactly what Klopp wanted from his teams.

Been fun watching these talented youngsters playing at Harlem Globetrotters. Welbeck looks like a proud dad setting up chances for his kids in the park.

Verbruggen, Weiffer, Dunk, Estupinan, Gilmour, March, Enciso, Pedro, Ferguson all missing, as well as the expected to be gone Undav and Gross and the possibly arriving Gomez. That's pretty much a first team there.
