"Ooh we've got to play so many games, it's really haaard" Pause. "Oh, a 14 hour flight to Japan.....oh, go on then , we're in".

What a load of bollocks. Like we're struggling to attract the sweet Yen now..

Exactly,…..money that eventually we’d like to see used for buying better players (and a bigger stadium that we fill) creating a better team that one day (in our lifetimes) will win something whilst remaining financially healthy and stable

It's a bit coincidental to me that the 4 most injury hit teams in the pl are Newcastle, Chelsea, Brentford and Brighton
Well, the good news is that Japan is so much better for injuries than the US. Evidence? Man City went to Japan last July and they’ve had comparatively few injuries this season. Good to see the club learning from their mistakes…

Just hope Nike gets the new kit delivered early so we can take advantage of the demand for shirts while playing over there

How times change. You have to move with them. Anything within reason that helps moving us forward I support. Sponsors. Tours, etc. Still remember back in the day when sponsorship in your match programme was. Some random eaterie in East Street, Hove dog track, some Solicitors EST 1797. Someone's light engineering tool works fabrication company 2 miles from the Goldstone. And if you wanted anything near a replica shirt, you had to go to "Soccer Scene" in Carnaby Street in London. UTA
PS. Really want to batter the Villa 3 nil. Looking forward to Sunday

Anyone in a position to travel to Japan at that time of year for a couple of meaningless friendlies has more money than sense.
I look forward to the food pics.
I do like a challenge!

US trip was a disaster conditioning and injury wise, Why not go back to basics?
Something also consider is the the tempura, it will be very hot at that time.

Edit: I see @Bozza beat me to this pun.
