A quick word in his ear and this will be the Sancho RDZ would have playing for us.

Forget the Manure version and think ‘the Lingard loan at West Ham.’

If they pay 90% of his wages it may be worth a punt. You have to question does he want to play football or just happy to pick up his insane pay cheque.
His fitness would also be a concern.

De Zerbi in his press conference when asked about a possible FB signing in January said he needed at least 4 players for different positions to make us competitive

We definitely need an experienced midfielder with a bit more muscle. Baleba too raw to trust consistently at the moment.
Problem is that Roberto wants someone in midfield to understand his way of playing straight away. Who can offer that?
Are we better to just keep faith in Baleba’s development and hope Dahoud starts coping with the physicality of the Premier League.

There has been some talk that if we sign 3/4 players the squad will be too bloated when the injured players come back.

I don’t see it that way, this will almost certainly be the last season for Lamptey, Webster and Lallana and chances are they wouldn’t all be fit anyway. There’s also a case to be made the Welbeck and Moder might not make next season.

So De Zerbi has stated that he is short in 3/4 positions.

Surely these are:
Left Back
Right Back
Right Wing
Defensive Midfield

I can also see justifications for a striker and centre back.

Mazilu is coming in but I’d be very surprised if he satisfies De Zerbi’s thirst for top level talent. Not straight away anyhow.

This could be a very difficult and expensive January for the recruitment team. This is not how we like to recruit. They have a real test on their hands.

We haven’t even submitted another offer yet since the offer of £8 million for the buyout which Boca want to increase and are working on getting Barco to sign a new contract before the window opens which would keep him at Boca until the end of the season and also probably put him above our price range.
It’s the end of the season in Argentina now (they start again in May ‘24). A good time to move on.

It would be bizarre if he signed an extension. Both ourselves and Citeh could easily pay him and his agent more than Boca, why would he decrease his attractiveness to European clubs? However, Boca will want their fans to believe that they are doing everything to keep him. Hence, we’ll see a lot of stories about a contract extension.

It supposedly took the opportunity of playing in the final of the Copa Libertadores to persuade him to stay in the summer. But Boca were like Man Utd (this season) in the league last season, he has no reason to stay now.

With up to 20 texts from Facu coming in everyday, we are in with a chance. Chelsea & Citeh must be favourites but Boca have virtually no chance of keeping their man.

So no genuine senior full backs (Perv won’t start) or wingers available for the the starting line-up vs Spuds.

We’re going to need a bigger boat (budget).

The club might need to ‘break even’ on the transfer budget this season?

£95m would certainly fund the holes in our broken squad.

isn’t it already plugging a hole in terms of the fact that we operate at a loss?

Glad we are away from the drop zone, as you just can't believe how many players not available. We are truly fked and royally screwed for a Europe place this season, if we finish 10th or above it will be a miracle.

At ease.

I’ve done the Math.

£30m Bardghi
£25m Barardi
£7m Barco
£20m Haidara
£18m Boey
Were you going through the alphabet starting with ‘B’? 😀

Good list but not sure anyone will be getting Barco for £7 m - Boca are already pissed off his release clause is as low as £8 m as it is.

All this Social Media stuff about Barco whilst we are probably lining up Ezequiel Fernandez from Boca as an additional DCM and Samuel Iling Junior from Juve as LB, LWB.
Similar situation to when we were looking to replace Cucurella. Pervis not mentioned as an option until he signed.

Rumour is that highly-rated 17yo full back Bobbi Blockitall is on his way from the MLS development squad of the Albuquerque All Stars...

Someone who can take the ball down the right wing, and cross/shoot with their right foot.
That’s old fashioned and not allowed
When a winger, who plays for the Albion gets to the byline they MUST be on their weaker foot. It’s the way it’s done nowadays if you didn’t know. They need to cut in onto their stronger foot to where there will be a lot of opposition waiting for them.I’ve been told countless times on here it’s called inverted wingers, and get used to it
I personally am completely with you on this one a good old out swinging cross from the byline all day for me
