saw this in argus, perhaps, just maybe, its possible. sorry if a fixtures already

The Latin American feel to the club is likely to increase now that Poyet is in charge and more continental signings could follow.

Poyet is, for example, familiar with 21-year-old Diego Arismendi, bought by Stoke from Uruguayan club Nacional last summer for £2.5m.

It would not be too much of a surprise to see the strongly built defensive midfielder wearing the blue and white stripes at some point.

Was this only in the actual newspaper or is it on the argus site also?

poyet said we would be bringing in two or three players in the january transfer window, and with Calderon, Painter, and Carole coming in, plus the new contracts for Brezovan and Hoyte... does that mean we are done for transfers? Didnt he specify that he wanted a left winger?

Boring Premiership news, but Hull have signed the nightmare that is Amr Zaki on loan until the end of the season.

Southampton update. They seem to have POTS of money to spend.

Started the season with the big money signings of Lambert and Hammond.

In January they have added;

Jose Fontaine [CB] for £1.2m
Seagrove [highly rated CB from Exeter]
Ostemobor [RB?]

Now they are in talks to buy Brian Stock from Donny for £800k, because Hammond is out injured for TWO WEEKS.

'WERE' being the operative word.

Some odd Swiss chap bought them out last year. All seems hunky-dory for them now.
