We'd just signed Igor, were still trying to get Colwill back so maybe the club saw him as potentially fighting with Webster for 4th/5th choice CB.A new contract was announced on July 13 but Albion didn't specify the length of the deal. It's to JPVH immense credit that he's seized his opportunities and has played his way into second CB behind Dunk.
