He is clearly VERY hard work to manage, but that hasn't put McGhee off a player before, look at his signing of Dennis Wise!

Definitely a top player, but does seem a bundle of trouble off the field. Would appear his contract was 'cancelled' and that's why he's coming back.

I never quite understood the deal with him at Reading. He's a supremely talented player, but clearly comes with baggage. However, Reading were having to deal with all the problems he brings by having at the club, but weren't seeing the benefits of having around because he wasn't starting games.

That's the worst of both Worlds isn't it. Hmm, West Ham have got a cracking manager there then. ;)

I don't think Jamie Cureton was ever 'difficult' at Reading. No tantrums, training ground 'incidents' or anything like that. He coped pretty well with being continually messed around by Pardew. Whenever he got a game he played well (although that didn't stop Pardew dropping him for the following game). He clearly enjoyed playing for Reading and only turned down the 1 year contract Pardew offered him because he wanted regular first team football. Not the sign of a problem player, quite the opposite.

Jamie will be excellent for anyone in Divisions 1, 2 or 3. Can't see him coming to Brighton though. It looks pretty much settled now in favour of QPR, and anyway I'm not convinced Knight and Cureton would make a good partnership. I haven't seen much of Leon Knight but he sounds too similar to Jamie.
