I thought Tunnicliffe was decent, he's still quite young isn't he?

He had a decent long throw, shame he is a centre half and should be the one getting on the end of long throws.

He was good enough for Slade but not good enough for Gus which is why he was shipped out on loan. A decent player at L1/L2/Conference level.

McNulty has turned out to be a quality left back at this level. Would have him over Painter all day long. One of the few mistakes I can think of by Gus was releasing him.

I don't think he wanted to fight for his place so asked to go out on loan. Gus is not impressed with players like that. Expect Hoskins to be on his bike before long, which will alos be a shame.

Really? Well I never. I read he was their player of the season, I didn't realise it was at centre half

He rarely played left back for Stockport. They had Rose who played left back, Jim was always in the centre. We moved him to left back because of his sheer attacking flair but mainly because he is left footed.

My memories are of him being given the runaround by Grant Holt at Norwich, and then being beaten to headers in games against Colchester and Swindon, both of which resulted in goals. He was good on the ball, but if we are comparing him with Elphick, then Elphick is by far the better defender for me.

Correct. I guess some players can't grasp the concept of squad football, or believe that they are better than the man playing instead of themselves.

I wondered about Tunny when it became evident that he wanted to walk everywhere - most specifically out of defence. It made a bit of a joke of the offside rule from our perspective and yes, he did seem to have a problem getting off the ground when crosses came in.

On Twitter, for what its worth, he comes across as being a bit of a billy-big-bollocks but so do a lot of footballers to be honest.

When I met Tunny he had no sense of loyalty to Brighton, was a bit of a Billy bullshit who was utterly sure of his own ability and destiny, which was that he was too good for us and saw us as a stepping stone to a bigger club and higher level sooner rather than later.
