So Welbeck, Lallana and Milner to share a shirt for the season, hopefully one of them fit per game?
Milner has made made all bar 4 PL squads this season, there has not been much problem with his fitness over the last few seasons.

Wlebeck has only missed something like 6 or 7 games out of over 50 since he returned from surgery.

Only Lallana has genuinely struggled for fitness, but his value to the squad is clear to see hence why RDZ was more than happy to get him signed to a new deal.

I can see the merit in bringing in Milner in a utility/mentor/see a game out kind of role. We do need a mix of experience alongside the inexperience of the wonderkids. They need to be managed on the pitch as well as on the training ground. Just think of the amount of experience that Milner has. It's colossal. And at 37, he keeps himself match fit. He's a good role model.

This seems to have come out of the blue. I don’t see how many minutes he can give us but I would certainly welcome his experience. Maybe it’s a view to a mix of a player and coaching role?

At first I thought no way. but….if we do get to Europe, we will need experience and as everyone has said squad depth. If he’s cheap . And he may see this as a good option to stay relevant. It might be a good option?

God no. We already have Lallana for the grandad role. Absolutely shouldn't be wasting any spare wages on him, compared to throwing it at our current players.

SAGA holidays or Werthers Original could be interested too. This could be an astute piece of business.
I guess there may also be plans for the Albion to go big in walking football in a few years?

this is a great idea - the Premier League’s model professional sins for the team full of wonder kids. They’d learn so match from him. He can midfield, left back, righ back so gives squad depth. Klopp seems to bring him for last 15mins of every game - so why can’t he do that for us?

If I had to guess, I’d say that the strategy here is- get him in the camp, he’ll make an excellent coach. If giving him another year on the pitch is the way to make that happen, then sign him up.
