I’m really out off going to the cinema now because of the length of films now, there was no need for this film to be as long as it was.

This, saw it last night I needed a piss break halfway through and was hobbling out at the end, the film, pretty meh in my opinion, the baddies rolled over to easily [emoji23]

I found it a bit meh as well, It was on the back of night shifts though

So I’ll give it another go.

I wasn’t sure what the bad guys scheme was- just to kill loads of people? Did I miss that being fleshed out at some stage in the film?

1) Revenge (for the incident that scarred him) 2) Mass produce the weapon, and sell it (the island was a factory, there was mention of unidentified boats on their way). 3) Keep the woman for his own

Just seen the film. I enjoyed it! Some comedy moments in there too.

I also had my 1 minute of fame. I happened to be on HMS Dragon’s bridge looking out the window as they filmed it. Can’t believe they blacked out the windows

One thing I took from the movie is I’d like to drive up through Norway, it looks amazing.

Saw it last night.

Got disappointed.

Main issues:

Unlike the old movies, the Craig movies are all linked. But there seems to have been pretty much no planning in how or why they are linked, and its all very "we make it up as we go".

James Bond being lost for years without anyone knowing where he is for the second time in five movies.
James Bond accidently discovering some massive criminal organisation for the second time in five movies.
James Bond trying to leave his job because he is in love with some woman for the second time in five movies.
Just stupid.

The presence of kids. Children are not supposed to be in a James Bond movie. Here they are used as a tool to make it more "emotional", and its incredibly cheap. Its like when you read a good novel and somewhere along the line the author decides to bring in some previously unknown relative to make it all sad and shit, but its just dumb... and shit.

James Bond contemplating on who and what he is for the umpteenth time. He is no longer James Bond. He is some bloke running around with the self-doubt and identity crisis of a teenage girl growing up in Instagram feeds. How about just allowing him to be James Bond and do things that James Bond do. How about just making a classic James Bond movie in this endless row of "here's another depressed, introvert superhero, how you like that twist huh huh?" movies.

I'm glad to see Daniel Craigs Bond finally done. His version of Bond is some kind of outcast frightened of himself and everyone and everything who isnt some kind of gun or bomb. It was fun to begin with and now its old.

Also the villain who I cant even remember the name of... Remi Marko? Remi Malko? Something. I might get the answers if I see this again but... What does he want?

Audio-visually the movie is fantastic, the cast is great and there are some great scenes but this trying-very-hard-to-be-emotional action-drama is all a bit silly and done and none-Bond. Linus Sandgrens photo is great, Hans Zimmers music is way above what we've heard in recent films, too bad they had to waste all of that competence on something that feels like a very forced (and never-ending) remake/extension of OHMSS.

Not a fan, then.

I look forward to your review of the virtues of 5G ???

I’m hoping Joe Lycett gets the gig.

"So this is what I sent:

Dear Mr Blofeld,

I hear that you plan to undertake a spree of master criminality. May I point out that this is neither big, nor clever. Nor is it original. Have you not hear of Moriarty? I look forward to receiving notification of a revision of your plan, soonest.

Yours faithfully, 007""

Won’t happen, he’s 5ft 9. I think DC was the shortest Bond yet at 5ft 10, can’t see them dipping any lower. In Casino Royale Fleming described Bond as being 6ft.

Tom Cruise is 5 foot 8 inches and it doesn't seem to hold him back

I saw it last friday and I thought it was superb. Definitely one of the very best and the ending was done with real thought. 92 out of 100

Good, but not great would be my verdict. As Swansman alluded to, I'm not overly interested in the soft side of Bond, the character arc of him 'finding himself' just leaves me cold. Kids in Bond films ? Mmnah. Not for me, thats just not how these films roll. Just get on with epic action, murdering people, and making withering pithy remarks.

The Aston Martin is SENSATIONAL in this, and should leave all Bond afficienados thrilled. And there are some great set pieces. But once again - Casino Royale just blows every subsequent one out of the water. I can't help it, every time I'm watching a Bond film, I wish I'm watching that one instead.

I think bond needs to be played with humour , no one as good as Roger Moore doing this ,

The odd line of course, but the Roger Moore films often veered towards clowndom. Connery and Craig have been by far and away the best Bonds. Gritty, and convincingly brutal.

Roger Moore was more like an affable uncle.

It’s incredible to think he forced himself on 5 different
women in all the Bond books

Saw it tonight. Loved it. So many subtle call backs to previous bond movies, be it cinematically, dialogue or musical cues.

The story was engaging, well paced and I loved the ending.
