Has Ferguson replaced Webster as a target?
Don’t know but not by me, although I haven’t targeted Webster or anyone else. I was annoyed with Ferguson and esp Beleba at the time because I thought they could’ve done more to chase and shut down Spurs players when we were under the cosh, as opposed to half hearted runs and fancy flicks. I was probably being a bit harsh but in certain situations you have to change your game.

I think I've said it before, but my recollection is he often got in good positions, but then nearly always failed to convert.

Like Adam Lallana. But a bit taller.
A quick reminder.
As much as eventually that could very well be the case, your memory has to go back to the season where often everybody got in good positions, but then nearly always failed to convert.

I think Ferguson is showing a serious drop in confidence in the last few games.

Also now we are half way through the season and opponents have sussed how we play with him, particularly when we play a long flat ball down the middle to him from the keeper. He is so tightly marked and roughed up that it’s now much harder for him to control the ball and/or lay it off. He’s still a threat when he has the ball under control though as he showed at West Ham.

Ah, but that’s the test for him. He gets into good positions and has a knack of getting a shot in from difficult positions. If he keeps his fitness levels up and manages his weight he‘ll continue to develop and be ok.

His goal vs England has perhaps cemented my view that he's a bigger threat than his stats support. I think maybe his highlights reel pre-Albion had him banging them in too?

Anyway... 6/1 for a midfield starter in a team that's been scoring a lot against higher-level opponents than Stoke is great value I think. Particularly as he'll be raring to go.

(apologies Jakub, as I have well and truly jinxed you there)
I love that he seems so happy to be back and, given my recent record in the score prediction thread, am happy to declare that there is no chance of him being on the scoresheet tomorrow. ;)

This has been troubling me (well, not much) but under what criteria can Moder be described as a 'magic man'?

Great that he's fit and well again but surely 'useful squad player' would be a more accurate description?

I mean the song does mention that Tony drives a skoda which is a Czech car, not a lot of it makes that much sense.

Very. Carefully.
Some nifty googling (actually whatever search engine Duck Duck Go actually uses - Bing?) suggests that the lowest number of pints you can drink to get an exact number of half litres is 22 (near enough exactly 25 half litres).
So I'd suggest the answer is both carefully and in vast quantities.
I can deal with that.

How can you drink pints by the half litre HWT?
How?
Through a straw?

As you well know, because I suspect you have a little poetry to your soul, a pint is a type of drink.

"Fancy a pint?"

Nobody replies "Pint of what? Shampoo? Gravy?"

Whereas a litre is a measure of volume, as imposed (and rightly so) by the EU.

Since Brexit, the scope for poetry of the soul has been diminished. It. Is. A. Disgrace.
