Played a blinder yesterday and was good last week as well.

Good to see him like this after some of the abuse he siffered last season.

I've always rated him, even when he has had off days. He could have a huge career here.

Completely agree. Probably more than any other Albion player we've got (apart from maybe the ginger prince), Jakey is a confidence player and the pressure was on last year to be a goal machine. Now that he's playing wide he's got that pressure off him and can show everybody what a great great talent he is.

And his hair is just fine as it is.

him and cox were very effective last night - not quite sure if playing two out-and-out wingers will work away from home though, as it may leave us short of cover

I know I wasnt there last night...but im yet to be convinced by him..very hot and cold...VERY.....he needs to be consistant and not disapear for large periods......if he consistantly plays well he keeps his place.....

Make or break season for the lad

I've never understood why playing away from home should be considered any different to playing at home.

You wouldn't be saying that if you'd had the misfortune to use The Sportsman last night...Spitfire was FOUL. Took it back and had to resort to Guinness. They've dressed the place up but it's still crap.

Wilkins needs to pick an attacjing formation for the Gillingham game as they are there for the taking.

I am expecting 3 points.

With a good team it doesn't matter where they play, home, away or neutral territory...they will enforce their game on the opposition and take it to them, their tactics and skill are what will decide the outcome. Granted the crowd will have their part to play but away from home how easy is it to turn the home supporters to your advantage, be it by shutting them up completely (aka Northampton last season) or making them get on the backs of their own team.

I can't understand why anyone drinks there, high prices for crap beer. The Harveys in the Brewery Tap yesterday was excellent.
