And half of his wages is more than double that of our highest earners. There are only a couple of clubs in Europe who can afford him.Yesterday it was Spurs bidding £50 million for him. He was a brilliant player pre United and I'm sure someone pay £40-£60 million for him but not unless he agrees to halve his wages. Why would he?

Why are people slagging him off? He's a fantastic footballer who will find his feet again, he needs a bit of time to settle. I can't see how we could possibly pull off this signing, it seems totally beyond belief on a scale that we've never seen before.
