I actually saw the thread and thought she had died, what an unnecessary thread. As it is she's getting publicity because like it or not she is a celebrity. However, I can see no problem with raising awareness of cancer.

Same here...I clicked on cos' I thought she had died.
I agree with most of the sentiments already expressed and to use this as a title to a thread is moronic.
I have lost both parents, relatives, friends and acquaintances to cancer. It is not a lightweight, jokey thing...it is ugly, painful, brutal and demeaning. It eats you away, takes no prisoners and strips you of any dignity in life.
Only last Wednesday, I attended the funeral of a lady, who coped with this wretched illness, with a courage and stoicism that was remarkable.
One day, they may find an answer to this but until then we must accept that anyone of any age, creed or colour is vulnerable.
Jade Goody is probably fighting a losing battle but whilst she is still alive, please pay her some respect. Thats the least she deserves.

She should take a leaf out of Patrick Swayze book and just get on with life, without having to involve the media

Yeah, lets forget all about personal choice and force people to live as you want, you :censored: If you don't agree with her choice to have her ordeal covered by the media, then just don't watch it, rather than choose to slate someone whose family is going through hell. - had this been a more worthy person in their opinion being followed, would there be the same hatred being shown for their decision to publicise their fate?

Did you feel it nessessary to attack others whose battles against deadly disease / last days of life, were also followed by the media, such as recent documentaries about the seriously ill man who went to Switzerland to die by euthanasia (sp) or other examples?

This whole thread is utterly shocking and extremely distasteful, and shows just how little human life now means to some people, that for making some silly mistakes in life (racist comments) means that its forever held against them and people view their life as worthless and society would be better off without them, and they deserve to die in such a bad way.

Having not long heard the news about her op yesterday to remove the tumour, I saw this and thought she had died!

I don't often 'feel' anything about celebs, being ill etc, cos I don't know them, and whilst it is sad, it doesn't affect me in the same way as it would if it was someone close to me

However, something about Jade's situation upsets me, and I actually have the utmost respect for her allowing her lowest moments to be publicised. If it prompts just one person to have a smear and saves a life, then well done Jade. Of course, she also wants to protect her son's future financially, and why shouldn't she if she can?!

This thread is totally out of order and should be closed and deleted asap out of respect! To the person who started the thread - imagine Jade is your 20 year old sister/niece etc and see if you find it funny then?! Asshole!

I agree 100%
