Most people will know him for the "Up Yours, Delors!" headline but he is only one of 3 people to made Honorary Citizen of Europe after Jean Monnet and Helmut Kohl.

Delors made a major contribution to European peace, stability and prosperity. It is staggering to think he managed to persuade the French to give up the Franc and the Germans to give up the Deutschmark.

Politics has so few people like Delors with the vision, the persuasion and the drive to achieve. An incredible man.

Anyway, Delors was a great man who saw the future with peoples united rather than divided. He may not have always got things right, but his heart was in the right place.

Why do you have to be offensive, just because other people have different views to you? I could point out that 'leavers' have been shown to have lower IQs than 'remainers' but that wouldn't be very nice would it?
