Jack Straw's Falmer Watch No.55 (24/1/10)

Brighton. NOT KEMPTOWN!
Due to Friday's appalling weather, I went to Falmer this morning.
The usual lack of noise from trundling lorries of chalk and their bleeping reversing warning devices made for an eery, and due to being Sunday, ecclesiastical atmosphere about the place.
However, some work was taking place with several welders in action, carrying out the arch modification work, all in complete silence.
There has been some concreting and a pre-cast wall has been erected in part of the west stand basement.
3 lots of 5 coming right up.

I must say, all the picture etc haven't really excited me for a long while now. I know the stadium has progressed a large amount, but for some reason I cannot see the change :lolol:

Good work though, JS.

Brilliant pics.It seems to me that the arch modification is quite extensive. To start it was just a 'simple' plate change but it seems a bit more than that.

Jack, superb stuff as ever. Why do they bother on the official site? The gulf between your efforts and theirs is off the scale. Keep up the great work.

Superb - good to see the dog at the north end has been cleared of debris - and West Stand coming on at a pace. TRHK Jr and I were chatting just now about the Albion jogging out under the West stand along that corridor (soon to be tunnel) onto the pitch. Can almost feel it!

The last picture of batch 2, would make a great position for an additional webcam.

Just a thought.

Great work as usual Jack.
