It was in the argus a while ago that undersoil heating qwould go in costing 300K as they were not going to do it AFTERWARDS as it would cost a mint....

Ive said it before and I'll say it again, Undersoil heating is POINTLESS and a waste of money. BHA panicked when those games got called off last season at Withdean (which is actually acceptable) and rushed in to get the stuff put down at Falmer.

Great pics as ever Jack well done :)

That is not how I recall it. I seem to remember that we are laying ducting down for undersoil heating but not the fully monty, this is so it can easily be added at a later stage

As with the games that were called at withdean, it was not the condition of the pitch that caused the games to be called off, but the terraces were deemed to be unsafe due to ice.
The same will be at falmer, it no good the pitch being nice and toasty if the surrounding area is covered in ice,
Also I’m led to believe undersoil heating is not good for the soil and playing surface anyway.

I can see the dog track in that first picture. It's not exactly oval but that should make it more interesting (and there's a truck at the 4th bend).

There is 100% certain going to be no under soil heating

There was an article titled 'Albion turn up the heat' or words to that effect saying that they would be installing undersoil heating at a cost of 300k.

Mr Burns and Croydon Seagull are both (sort of) right.

Originally there was going to be no under-soil heating, but the pipes were going to be plumbed in, so that the club could change their mind if needed. However, during the cold snap in January/February it was announced that there would, in fact, be undersoil heating - I can't remember the exact reason for this U-turn, but I'm sure somebody will dig out the article...

Surely it's obvious - to keep the dog's feet warm!
