Brighton. NOT KEMPTOWN!
Tarmac sub-base being laid in coach park.
Intricate foundation digging for east stand.
Site made flat by "cut & fill" with the chalk at the bottom (NW) corner, higher than the 8` security fence.

Third picture.

In the middle of the earthworks......isn't that a skeleton of Lord Lucan?

Hopefully these will add some noise and perspective to the excellent work by photographer in chief, Jack Straw.

Here’s a view of the site from the flyover over the A27, which includes the train station (and even a train arriving from Lewes)

This is the topsoil being moved off the area at Village Way North, presumably to make way for the chalk spoil from the site

Shame about the bars, but this view shows the size of the site and the depth of the hole. You can also see the work that has gone on to tarmac what I assume is a car park or concourse.

For the time being, I imagine the tarmac area will be for the site compound - material storage, staff accommodation, etc.

Nice work as always JS!

Second photo in particular fills me with joy. For two reasons:

1. Clear evidence that workforce has been doubled - two workmen clearly visible (assuming it isn't original one workman moving full-length on-site mirror)

2. Blue car with GB sticker and splendid personalised number plate S122LER :clap2:

Can those videos go on countdown2falmer.co.uk?
I will then add Jack Straws and these vids tommorow.

I had hoped to be able to video you taking your pics, but maybe another time. The truth is I was up there yesterday. However, I wasn't going to jump the gun and start a competitor thread to yours which everyone looks forward to.
I certainly could do with a ladder, but then you knew that already!

I hope Russell Slade doesn't see these pics as the slope looks the same angle as the pitch at Yeovil's ground.

Top work JS as usual. Still awaiting the steel though!

In the last picture there are cleary FOUR people on site (not including JS!) - Is that why its going to take 2 years to build it?!?!
