Yes. No wheels.
But then how cool would THAT be ? A mobile stadium we could DRIVE around the country.

Of course, there could be bridge....issues.

Not to mention the bats

And think of all the flies squashed on all those windows

Looks fantastic - what i love is that there is just no stadium (that i know of) that looks anything like Falmer.

what?

you mean apart from The McAlpine, The Reebok, Sydney Olympic Stadium......

Disagree.
None of those have such low, sweeping roofs at unusual tilted angles. The Amex is designed to blend in with the the rolling downland around it - those others you mention arn't designed to blend in with anything.

Wow, wow and thrice wow ...

All those "It'll never get off the ground" voices seem to have fallen silent of late?

Shit...he is big...looks a bit like Saddam Hussain carrying a few kilos, mind you if they tried to hang that bloke they would need a bloody strong rope!

My thoughts exactly. The white arches are the only similarity. The Galpharm isn't "joined up" like the Amex, its just 4 separate stands each with their own roofs.
Mind you, it HAS got a cool little drawbridge down the bottom there.

The Reebok IS pretty cool though, I like it a lot. Its not like all the usual new identikit stadiums. The way they've done the floodlights is excellent, and makes a change from the new grounds having them along the underside of the roofs (as ours will be).
Very impressive.

Driven pass the Reebok and it does look very elegant, but when you're used to the Withdean anything looks elegant

And they've even got those upside down.
It just looks plain wrong like that.

Back to Falmer, wouldn't it be just great to decorate your bedroom (or any other room come to that) with a stand taking up each wall?
Just like this example using the Galp.

These are so brilliant Jack that I'm going to miss your updates when the Amex is finished. I reckon when it's complete they should knock it down and start again - what d'ya think JS? :jester:

i drove past you today as you were preparing for your shot on the perimeter.

i never realised how deserving of a medal you were, despite all kinds of weather, the photo's have been fantastic for ages and always bring a smile on a friday.

however to risk life and limb on that ladder, to label it flimsy would be kind.

top work for all the photo's and for bravery

thank you Sir Jack Straw

Don't forget that the Galpharm has floodlight pylons where as Falmer has the more mordern approach with lighting under the roof stands.
