He's in the latest squad and the only reason he wasn't in the copa squad was because he followed blooms instruction unlike enciso and made himself unavailable.
Utter bollocks. No club can stop a call up to a FIFA tournament. He didn't go to the Copa because he wasn't close to being picked for it.

The Olympics, the club could veto if they wished.

Not Olympics, Copa America…

Zaha is more of an England player than Barco an Argie international !!

Want the boy to succeed but he's simply not good enough. Lower EPL or championship is his level. Let's see how he does this year but he was woeful on Saturday, can't understand why he wouldn't be loaned and Barco was. Barco is an Argentinan international FFS.
You are most welcome to your own opinion....even if you are talking out of your arse

Ok so despite Barco being called up for the LATEST Argentina squad you're still in denial that he's a full international,?

Willing to bet good money with anyone on this thread that Barco makes more Argentina appearances than jack does for England

Has he f***ed your missus or something Dwayne cos it's the only explanation I can think of for your weird vendetta against a massively talented Brighton lad who has been brilliant for us?!
Outclassed by a second rate winger on Saturday. Brilliant is a stretch.

I’ve seen some shite on here in my time but this might just take the crown.

He’s nineteen, played LB for the first time FFS. He was absolutely class last season before the injury.

You’re going to be disappointed with this effort in the coming years.

You can’t make yourself unavailable for the Copa America unless you are injured. He was in the pre Copa training squad. He was dropped from the final squad. We then refused his call up for the Olympics. Enciso would have gone to the Olympics with our permission, especially as he was only called up when Paraguay suffered some injuries after the original squads and stand by players were announced.

He was good in a couple of games last season. He's obviously an intelligent lad, and will have a good career in the game. But we are a top ten EPL team now, he's not good enough for us, sentiment has no place in the game.
What?
With the greatest respect, what are you talking about?
He was fantastic for us last season, and but for injuries might have even been subject to a bid from a top 6 side.

His football intelligence is way beyond his years.
His ability in and out of possession is beyond question
Can play in multiple positions
Learns quickly (see Everton).

And he’s not playing in his favoured position - although full/wing back might be where he thrives.

Played out of position. Hinshelwood will be a great CM and sometimes RB.
No disrespect but what EPL game has he actually played in CM. The only one I can recall is villa away where we got absolutely destroyed. I know he's a local lad and all that but he has a lot to prove.
