Nonsense he's given it away 4 times

I’ve seen enough from him to be pleased with his performance. By all means carry on trying to put the boot into a young player being brought through into the first team, but I’ve seen some lovely passes, finding teammates in tight spaces.

I’m quietly confident that the lad is going to make it, if his confidence isn’t destroyed by impatient boo boys.

He’s been thrown to the wolves here. Formation is a shitshow.

Just him and Gilmour up against McGinn, Kamara and Doulas Luis is a complete mismatch, that could only ever end one way, and is really no reflection on him.

De zerbi has had an absolute mare.

Danny Hinshlewood also played for the Albion but suffered an injury that ended his career at the Preistfield
That’s the one. Good knowledge.

Agree. We needed an extra man in the middle rather than both Welbeck and Ferguson

Funny how they’re doing the exact same thing as last season and we’ve not adapted at all.

This.

Imho always play three in centre midfield, the cliché "it's where games are won or lost" is true, including at least on powerful/pacey DM. In the modern era all successful teams do this, sometimes with two pivots.

Playing all technical, slow-ish players in CM is a recipe for getting overrun. AEK, Everton, Villa all came out of the blocks with pace and aggression, overwhelming our system.

It’s like we didn’t watch the match against them last year. Villa play a very specific, pragmatic style of play and you have to adapt to this to beat them. Plus, player for player, they’re as good as us.

Teams know how to beat us at the moment. Play a narrow midfield that overloads us and have runners in behind who can make the most of those transitions.

It’s the thing that’s stopping RDZ from being a really top manager. You have to be willing to adapt your resources to the needs of the game. Even Guardiola’s started doing it with his four out and out defenders.

Still, we always know we’re gunna have results like this with him in charge, so 🤷‍♂️

Our midfield vs theirs was men vs boys and a horrible game to blood Jack. Welbeck at CAM needs to stop, and Gilmour needs more than a zero experience Hinshelwood alongside him to compete in a game like that. Just watched the highlights and Gilmour gave away the ball at key moments for several goals. Just a horrible horrible performance.

Danny Hinshelwood is Martin Hinshelwoods son, and is now manager of Selsey, Adam Hinshelwood is Martins Nephew, and Jack is Adams son. Jacks Grandad, Martins brother, Paul Hinshelwood played for Palace and Millwall, and Jacks Great Grandad Wally Hinshelwood played for Reading and Bristol City.

No suggestion that playing him was RDZ giving the board a message that they should spend spend spend?

This place used to care

Let me guess (I'm new to NSC)....we lost horribly today and people are looking for an escape goat.

Is it 'sack the board'?

I'm enjoying the season and have a nice glass of red, red wine.

It is what it is.
