That’s really bad news. Two really devastating injuries with the Joao Pedro one.

With a stress fracture, it suggests he’s probably played too much lately for a youngster. It’s one of the reasons why you’ve got to manage the minutes of these youngsters so carefully. This was always my concern with Ferguson and why I wanted him to get a break.

Be pleasantly surprised if we see him again this season.

Indeed - and it always seem to be to players who are just coming good (Fati) or at the top of their game (Pedro, Hinshelwood) - so a bigger miss than some other players would be.
It's been an appalling run of injuries recently. To still be actively involved at the business end of three major competitions at this stage of the season is nothing short of miraculous

Annoying with him and Pedro, but we have many returning / returned in recent weeks so not panicking.
