Never had the pleasure of seeing him play, pretty good apparently.

One of my first favourite Albion players. Bertolini, Jennings, Burtenshaw - what a half back line that was! RIP Jack Berolini.

Before my time, but my dad always spoke highly of him. RIP to one of that long strand of players who form part of our storied history.

How pro sport has changed. He played 190 consecutive games for Albion. In cricket Ken Suttle played over 400 consecutive games for Sussex

RIP Jack ..............can't be many players to play for three Albions! Born in Alloa, of Italian descent, Bertolini played for Alva Albion Rangers, Stirling Albion, Workington and Brighton & Hove Albion. Wikki

R.I.P. Jack. Brings back memories of my first season of watching Albion. He was a very good consistent player.

Was in the team in my first season watching the Albion.
RIP. Condolences to his family and friends.

Googling Jack Bertolini, I came across this link - OK, it's about Liverpool primarily, but if you follow some of the links at the bottom, there is some fantastic historical trivia - a wonderful nostalgic website! (with enough Brighton titbits to make it interesting).
For instance, 44 years ago yesterday., Lawrenson signed for the Albion.

Well, I enjoyed poking around in it anyway.
