Yes but for Izzy to leave we just don't renew his contract.

For Alireza to leave someone has to want to sign him and pay his high wages - he's pretty much the hardest player we have to get off our books this summer.

Izzy looked fit to score. PS: I don't like the wing back system and favour the lopsided 4-3-3 and variants with one speedy winger.

I like Izquierdo, ??? (false 9), Lamptey, as a front three. Got to match Townsend, Benteke, Zaha

Is it?

I dont think so at all, a very good player in Belgium and good player for Albion in the PL who has the ability to score worldies and a full Colombia International........

Recovered from a long term injury and available on a free, you think nobody is going to sign him if he can pass a medical?

He'll have plenty of suitors

Well I don't disagree with anything about his ability. But after 2 years out I have my doubts about him getting through any kind of rigorous (and it most certainly would be) medical.

This is all very well but nobody asked the important question.

How’s his pig?

Peter is doing just fine:

Well I like him.....one year contract extension would be the way we do things,to give him/‘us as chance to evaluate his fitness . At the moment his football future looks very bleak.....

I can't believe the club hasn't made a decision on him yet

Initially I was hoping some sort of pay as your play or significantly reduced 1 year contract could be agreed, but the longer these injuries go on there seems little benefit for us to even do that. It starts to feel like we're just continuing to fund his never ending rehabilitation. Guess it depends how charitable Tony is feeling or if Izzy can prove his fitness through the summer.

Who says they haven't? He's out of contract in the summer and was a higher earner - I wouldn't be surprised if the decision has been made and it'll be announced as part of the regular retained/released list. No point individually announcing contract renewals, especially after the "Walton will be allowed to leave the club on a free" announcement about a week before we triggered the extra 1-year option.

Any day now I suspect.

He’ll be released. Walton will have another year but will be for sale and Welbeck’s signing will be confirmed or labelled as ‘advanced talks’.

It’s very sad but we can’t take the gamble with his injury record, I’d say the same for Andone but he has a year or two left on his contract.

Even if we keep Izqueirdo, he will never be the same player that he once was alas, so what's the point?

Clowns on talk shite radio reviewed each team s performance over the season At one point talking about Welbz they inferred he was on £100K a week ?
Before someone says yes they talk as much bollox as the tabloids
Can someone confirm deny the wages ?

He looked really good when he came off the bench recently.

No point.
Even more than signing a striker this summer has to be about trimming the squad. We've shown the lad great loyalty but it's time to move on now.
