Don't you believe it, mate....as per my post above, Aachen fans are the tops, and in terms of generating an atmosphere, would put us lot to shame - even at the Goldstone.
I stand corrected then. I clearly have a lot to learn about German 2nd Division football.

That's the key. IF we bring someone in, I'm not worried either. Not sure he was up to Championship standard but he was a better option than we currently have.

Hopefully at least one of the three we have on trial will prove to be better!!

Iwelumo says in todays paper he would love to have signed for Albion but contrary to opinion, he was not being greedy but the club failed to offer him a relocation package to move south from Stoke on Trent. He also said he knocked back several other teams whilst waiting for Albion to make their final offer.

Very nice, elegant town, Aachen. Lots of history, nicely located, fairly near Cologne but also very near the point where Belgium, Holland and Germany share a border. Interesting, certainly a bizarre move for him.

Don't know much about Allemannia but I reckon on average the German 2nd division gets crowds somewhere between those in the our old 2nd and 3rd tiers (as I'm forced to take to calling them).

He'll find some decent players around him though. I'd say it's much harder than the division we've just been relegated out of and some fairly big Bundesliga names do drop down into the 2nd surprisingly often - if selected, his first game will be against Eintracht Frankfurt, no small club.
