No, I've not.
I'll get the wife to try them tomorrow, but I can't see how they'd even catch him, let alone know about him.

Easy I will keep my eyes peeled over the weekend in case he fancied a trip to North Southwick.

Thanks peeps.
I've cleaned and disinfected his cage this afternoon though, he's clearly not going to be back again. Have looked up a couple of local breeders, and we're just coming into season for them, so I might get a hand-reared replacement soon. Might get something slightly larger - looked at a brown-headed parrot in Pets Corner, lovely little fella, but he was £420

Birds have wings, they should not live in houses, cages or any other confined human space, no matter how much room there may be for them to fly around, it's NOT natural. Good luck to the fella, long may he enjoy his freedom.

Well after trawling pet shops and garden centres all weekend, I visited a bird breeder this afternoon up in Burgess Hill. She had a lovely little pearl white cockatiel who is 8 weeks old, hand reared, and he took to me like a duck to water. He sat on my hand, before creeping up my shirt to nuzzle one of my chins. He's a scruffy little bugger at the moment as he's still got a ot of his baby feathers, but he should be ready in a week or so apparently. Very friendly and totally accustomed to being handled. Looks like a real character.

I'll always miss my Bruce and will never forget him. But I think this little fella will be the one I bring home next week to start again with a new little matey. Just got to think of a NAME now.

At the moment, I like Casper. The missus likes Derek. But I'm open to suggestions...
