This will be a bit 'left-field' for most of you, but as I've been casually casting an eye over recent pro-cycling results, Ryder Hesjedal seems to keep catching my eye. He's currently carrying some very good form.
This weekend is The Amstel Gold Race, and much to my surprise he's 50-1, (hence the nearly bit). I would have thought he was more of a 20's max rider, for many reasons I doubt you'll be all that bothered about.
Sure the 2 main favourites are that for a reason, but we are talking over 6 hours of reasonably unpredictable racing, and as I said Ryder certainly has 'the legs' at the moment.
