I've always kept an eye on Villa, for the sole reason they are my mum's team (she was born and bred in those parts) and she's been watching them since the sixties.
For the record, combining all results since the Premiership began, they are 5th, so it's not THAT big a deal them doing well, although I have always appreciated O'Neil as a manager - he's unquestionably the best British manager around (obviously, my hatred of Ferguson is tied up in that assessment). And, as someone else has point out, the idea that a team breaking into the top 4, with another also doing well, is wonderful for Eglish football says something about how shit that division has become.
Fundamentally, I don't give a toss about that division. I check out the results, but I never watch the matches or the highlights.
