Itunes/ ipod touch poser

I have an Itunes account which I have for my Ipod touch on my laptop. Now my partner wants to buy an Ipod touch. I would like her to have her own Itunes account so our different musical tastes do not conflict with our own Ipods. Am I right in thinking that we can have our own accounts on one laptop or not ?

If you have separate accounts on the pc, then you should be able to have separate iTunes accounts.

I would strongly recommend having two windows logins which is very easy to do (apart from anything else, it means you can set the rest of it up to your individual preferences). With this done, she can just login to iTunes with her account and think no more about it.

You determine what gets synced etc in iTunes for each device.

Our single iTunes instance syncs 2 iPhones, 1 iPad and 3 iPods. They each have differing requirements and iTunes simply remembers each device and what syncs to each.

(Use a single iTunes account too so you don't have to buy apps and music more than once.)
