Reading the 'Help' section is a good idea. Also, if you go to the 'General Forum' you will find a very useful guide called "Announcement: HELP, Beginners Guide, and Community Promotion". It is written by a fellow manager rather than the bosses who rarely play themselves. Getting tips from fellow managers gives you a better understanding.
Try to remember that this game is a marathon, not a sprint. But most of all, just have fun.

Those of you who signed up 5 days ago and didn't log into your accounts again have just been sacked by your boards. This happens if you don't log in for 5 days from the day you join. Those who have logged in since get the same 21 days of inactivity before being sacked as everyone else gets. This is doubled to 42 days if you subscribe.

Well some how won all my games since joining (4 games) to finish 4th started in 8th.

I can now buy and sell players, With regards to selling how do you know what asking price/reserve to put as it would seem that the estimated and market value have no relation to the players actual worth?

Market value is based on what similar players have sold for in the past. However, it is flawed since there are other factors involved. There is a thread about it in the general forum today. Have a look.
It is also worth considering using the advertising forum in your league. Try starting a thread there asking what managers will offer for certain players. This will give you a good idea of real value.
Every manager receives prize money on Saturday too so this is a good time to list players since empty bank accounts suddenly have cash burning holes.

My 2nd club (1066 2nd) have just gone 192 matches (5 full seasons and 2 match) unbeaten in the league and won the Dreadnought Championship. It will be tough to keep that going in the Premiership next season.

My third season playing and AFC Albion Argyle are champions of Albania, sorry Dragon Division 8! I still haven't got the hang of contract negotiations but I'm getting most of the rest of the game down now. It's very complex as you start to dig deep.
